BearTracks Modules

BearTracks is comprised of a number of integrated functional modules. This allows each customer to maximize their benefits by selecting the exact capabilities they need for their accountable receiving, shipping, mail and distribution operations.

Receiving & Distribution Module

The BearTracks Receiving & Distribution module is an industrial-strength mail center application that provides full support for your receiving and internal tracking needs. Our receiving functionality is sophisticated yet easy to use and can be accessed from desktop workstations or mobile handheld computers. Delivery scenarios include individual secure delivery with signature and/or badge scan, efficient bulk delivery for workgroups or departments, offsite or common area deliveries, and more. Dockside carrier reconciliation, package rerouting, online tracking and email notifications are all standard features, and advanced functionality such as automatic sorter integration is also available. The entire system is scalable from dozens of shipments per day to tens of thousands of shipments per day, with no limit on the number of locations that can be supported.

Interoffice Module

The BearTracks Interoffice module provides desk to desk accountability for all internal accountable shipments. Employees place requests for service via a convenient Web interface. Distribution staff members use our interoffice shipping functionality to manage the pickup, transport and delivery of internal mail or shipments. Consolidation and tracking are provided from floor to floor, city to city, or continent to continent for any interoffice shipping scenario. BearTracks offers the industry’s most sophisticated pouching functions, enabling full tracking & visibility of each individual item in a pouch even while pouches are being shipped between facilities – and even when pouches are enclosed in other pouches. Typical uses for this module include accountable interoffice mail, deliveries from print/copy centers, records and file boxes, and computer backup tapes. Other industry-specific examples include lab results, proof bags, engineering prototypes, product samples, etc.

Performance Management Module

The BearTracks Performance Management module supports your efforts towards cost savings and continuous operational improvement. The metrics collected as part of normal work processes are used to analyze performance against specific key performance indicators (KPIs). These KPIs can be uniquely configured for each location and process, then analyzed based on targeted criteria. KPI analysis provides the basis for evaluating compliance with broader service level agreements (SLAs), the results of which can be exported to rollup tools for balanced scorecard analysis. BearTracks’ performance management capabilities provide a powerful tool for improving operational performance, optimizing resource utilization, negotiating better outsourcing contracts, and demonstrating superior service delivery.

Desktop Shipping Module

The BearTracks Desktop Shipping module allows employees to manifest shipments (e.g., UPS or FedEx overnight letters or parcels) from their own desks via an easy to use Web interface. Functions for general employees include carrier label generation, rate shopping, and tracking. Advanced features for shipping professionals include consolidation & zone-skipping, spend analysis, LTL and other non-parcel shipments, and much more. In addition to strong US domestic shipping, our international support is unmatched: BearTracks offers complete customs documentation, excellent compliance screening, multi language and currency support, and broader country and carrier coverage than any other solution. Small Office Module

For a truly enterprise-wide deployment, a tracking solution must support not only major corporate facilities but also dozens or hundreds of smaller offices. The BearTracks Small Office module is perfectly suited to supporting smaller sites, with no hardware, software deployment or training required. Capabilities include inbound receiving, exchange of accountable pouch mail with corporate offices, and basic search and reporting. The Small Office module allows BearTracks customers to roll out a universal infrastructure for accountable tracking and compliance.
